2010 Blogging Stats

I got this nifty little email today from WordPress (so happy we’re back together). The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how my old blog did in 2010, and here’s a summary of its overall health:

Healthy blog!

The Blog-Health-o-Meter™ reads Wow.

A Boeing 747-400 passenger jet can hold 416 passengers. This blog was viewed about 4,500 times in 2010. That’s about 11 full 747s.

In 2010, there were 61 new posts, not bad for the first year! There were 174 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 167mb. That’s about 3 pictures per week.

The busiest day of the year was December 2nd with 973 views. The most popular post that day was Rockefeller Tree Lighting.

Where did they come from?

The top referring sites in 2010 were wordpress.com, facebook.com, fanforum.com, imdb.com, and alphainventions.com.

Some visitors came searching, mostly for rockette experience, elf yourself, rockefeller tree, gatorade recognizes dance as a sport, and gatorade dance is a sport.

Pretty cool, eh? Not bad for only half a year of blogging, but I did have tons of experiences to write about from New York. Hoping I can do even better this year, so keep reading and commenting 🙂
